If you are young at heart include something about that in your profile. The biggest problem couples with a large age gap experience is jealousy and insecurity, often with the older partner believing that their younger partner will one day be attracted to someone their own age.but if it’s like a freshman in HS and a sophomore in college then that’s a red flag But if they have cars u can’t do anything about it, like it or not FYI not a parent but a fellow teen Depends on the kid and I don't personally believe that a boy can date sooner than a girl.If my kid is able to openly discuss sex, relationships, and can appreciate honesty, I say they go for it.A 17 year old girl dating a 31 year old man may raise an eyebrow but a 31 year old woman dating a 45 year old man probably wouldn’t.According to some, you can determine your appropriate dating age range by only dating someone who is within a fifth of your own age.

Or if my kid was getting in a serious sexual relationship at 12 or 13 I'd be very concerned, even with age parity, because the maturity just isn't there. depends so much in the kid and the situation.2-3 Years is pretty normal, seniors talk to sophomores and so on and freshman can get with sophomores etc...

This can seem quite restrictive but is a good way of judging whether the age range that you’re dating in will widely be deemed appropriate.

It isn’t fair but older men dating younger women seems to have always been acceptable in almost all cultures but, happily, older women having relationships with younger men is becoming much more accepted and commonplace.

I trust my kid...until she does something to make me feel differently, I will continue to trust her.

Thank you for your perspective ❤️I think 12 is the youngest for having a fairly innocent "boyfriend/girlfriend" - maybe holding hands and sharing a couple kisses, being dropped off at the movies or mall or swimming pool by parents to hang out for awhile or going out with a group. As for age differences between boyfriend/girlfriend, I think it's probably case by case (does the parent of the younger teen know and trust the older teen? ) I think it's sometimes fine for a freshman to date a senior if their maturity levels aren't too different.
